incomprehensible obscurity

I am back....don't want to dissapoint my blog but the coarse truth.......seeking riddance from the prosaic life i am experiencing lately.....Don't know what have happened but somehow have lost the track of my life.....the ambiguity that has eclipsed my life seems eternal....god...look at me now.....certainly this is not happening......
Am scared to see myself these days.....about how i spend my days.....how could one be so careless with time and life.......??with every passing day the incertitude is escalating....i am scared to see busy people around me.....feels like a parasite......:(

certainly this is no life.......help me almighty ......

The self

Human beings are self absorbed ,by the dint of which they pose themselves in a surreal and unconvincing way. They disregard what is cardinal and in a marked degree get involved in all the vanities of world.....which cause them unquantifiable loss, and outdistance all the good..

Amidst all this the abhorrent is ever gripping the self .....By being self absorbed the self abusive in him comes to life.Like this he destroys all that he possess .The evil in him grows like a wildfire on the dry grass. He becomes self congratulatory ,self centered.......and these all are squeezing the good out of him day by day....And the terminal destiny he becomes "self contained"..

The mischievous "self" attains ne-plus-ultra stage...One should always remember that " man's life is a war against malice of men......" The self contains all "Good and Bad" ....."God and Satan"...Irony lies most of us nurture the wrong in us and become enslaved for eternity..

The only known key out of the maze is of "self assessment" and "self awareness".Love for wisdom should subjugate any other hankering of ours..One should be capable of "self deprecation when ever one tends to grow "self indulgent".Remember the "self" is vulnerable ,fragile and on top of anything else easily disconcerted.....so all i want to say is .....take care of your "SELF"....:)

CITATIONS

I always conceptualize the prime mover to be the ace word smith of the "book of the world".....every individual is just as big as a passage in a story....but playing a defined role...the micro we play makes the macro he writes .......And personally we are not acting upon ....but citing the passage alloted to us........

kahlil gibran quote

Seven times have I despised my soul:
The first time when I saw her being meek that she might attain height.
The second time when I saw her limping before the crippled.
The third time when she was given to choose between the hard and the easy, and she chose the easy.
The fourth time when she committed a wrong, and comforted herself that others also commit wrong.
The fifth time when she forbore for weakness, and attributed her patience to strength.
The sixth time when she despised the ugliness of a face, and knew not that it was one of her own masks.
And the seventh time when she sang a song of praise, and deemed it a virtue.

HIGH LOW AND IN BETWEEN

A bookshop is just a look- alike of happy hunting ground for me.......The last time i visited my divine abode my eye caught hold of a book appellation.........it made me think....i was kind of zoned out for few seconds after i read the title......"high low and in between"......i think it's the footing or the juncture with which we enter the world......

MUDDLEMENT

It's so creepy to fear the attendance of certain individuals ........And the fear becomes all the more stymie and flaky when those set of individuals are none other than those who are accredited with the task to shepherd , look after and nurture law and order in our society.....I am unable to map out why most of the people fear our "INDIAN POLICE".....

Is it justified to paralyze without a reason.?......You don't need to strain you mind to figure out the reason behind such fear......Those set of individuals who were delegated the task of guarding the citizens are no more for the calling ......To be a part of the entire system just means to earn as much as you can ,by terrorizing ,exploiting the citizens of the country.....And i am formulating this post just because i am also possessed by this phobia...The presence of police creeps me.....

I broke in today in such a situation where i encountered this nasty phobia....And the discomposure i experienced propelled me to dash off this post .....

Making sense of India

A perfect post after the independence day,the nonsensical Indian

Todays youth hardly bear anything Indian ...Westernization have taken a toll on Indian ness ....and more ironical is that sometime i encounter such beings who use the word Indian democracy for supporting some thing rebellious they utter.... India and its attributes are remembered only on such instances for the rest "mother nation"...can hardly count on such individuals as "nationals"....

My heart aches when i see India degenerating in such a fashion at the hands of such nonsensical nationals .......

BLESS THE NATION WITH RESPONSIBLE NATIONALS ALMIGHTY!!

Swatantrata divas

Demystifying freedom, today is 15 august ......nothing can be more defining date for any citizen of my homeland.....for our nation was born ........"India won freedom".......yet after 64 years ......what importance this day holds......nothing more than a holiday.....i heard many working people and students lamenting the fact that independence day this year did fall on Sunday....

I am no better than the rest,i woke up at 10:30 am....to the tune of "mera rang de basanti chola" ......picked up the newspaper .......tricolor dominating the pages ....i switched on the television.....stars wishing independence day.......
i have resentment why can't people wish in hindi ....atleast for one day we can afford to use our national language....but no!

I picked up my mobile ,my inbox flooded with independence day wishes ..yet i didn't bother to reciprocate the wishes...for i found it very shallow.......my ear's catches the tune of "jana gana mana".....i don't know something did happen ....."Goose bumps" ......unknowingly i was standing still as i used to in school assembly to the same tune....
there is something about the anthem .......

Hearing it ,i feel like reading, exploring about my nation a bit.....although i have read alot about the freedom struggle.......but feel like fraternizing more.......and this made me establish that every year on independence day .......i would try to know my nation a bit ....i think everyone should....

swatantrata divas

64 years ago a nation was born, India .... independent India....

Jawaharlal Nehru :a tryst with destiny

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance.

It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity.

At the dawn of history India started on her unending quest, and trackless centuries are filled with her striving and the grandeur of her success and her failures. Through good and ill fortune alike she has never lost sight of that quest or forgotten the ideals which gave her strength. We end today a period of ill fortune and India discovers herself again.

The achievement we celebrate today is but a step, an opening of opportunity, to the greater triumphs and achievements that await us. Are we brave enough and wise enough to grasp this opportunity and accept the challenge of the future?

Freedom and power bring responsibility. The responsibility rests upon this assembly, a sovereign body representing the sovereign people of India. Before the birth of freedom we have endured all the pains of labour and our hearts are heavy with the memory of this sorrow. Some of those pains continue even now. Nevertheless, the past is over and it is the future that beckons to us now.

That future is not one of ease or resting but of incessant striving so that we may fulfil the pledges we have so often taken and the one we shall take today. The service of India means the service of the millions who suffer. It means the ending of poverty and ignorance and disease and inequality of opportunity.

The ambition of the greatest man of our generation has been to wipe every tear from every eye. That may be beyond us, but as long as there are tears and suffering, so long our work will not be over.

And so we have to labour and to work, and work hard, to give reality to our dreams. Those dreams are for India, but they are also for the world, for all the nations and peoples are too closely knit together today for anyone of them to imagine that it can live apart.

Peace has been said to be indivisible; so is freedom, so is prosperity now, and so also is disaster in this one world that can no longer be split into isolated fragments.

To the people of India, whose representatives we are, we make an appeal to join us with faith and confidence in this great adventure. This is no time for petty and destructive criticism, no time for ill will or blaming others. We have to build the noble mansion of free India where all her children may dwell.

The appointed day has come - the day appointed by destiny - and India stands forth again, after long slumber and struggle, awake, vital, free and independent. The past clings on to us still in some measure and we have to do much before we redeem the pledges we have so often taken. Yet the turning point is past, and history begins anew for us, the history which we shall live and act and others will write about.

It is a fateful moment for us in India, for all Asia and for the world. A new star rises, the star of freedom in the east, a new hope comes into being, a vision long cherished materialises. May the star never set and that hope never be betrayed!

We rejoice in that freedom, even though clouds surround us, and many of our people are sorrow-stricken and difficult problems encompass us. But freedom brings responsibilities and burdens and we have to face them in the spirit of a free and disciplined people.

On this day our first thoughts go to the architect of this freedom, the father of our nation, who, embodying the old spirit of India, held aloft the torch of freedom and lighted up the darkness that surrounded us.

We have often been unworthy followers of his and have strayed from his message, but not only we but succeeding generations will remember this message and bear the imprint in their hearts of this great son of India, magnificent in his faith and strength and courage and humility. We shall never allow that torch of freedom to be blown out, however high the wind or stormy the tempest.

Our next thoughts must be of the unknown volunteers and soldiers of freedom who, without praise or reward, have served India even unto death.

We think also of our brothers and sisters who have been cut off from us by political boundaries and who unhappily cannot share at present in the freedom that has come. They are of us and will remain of us whatever may happen, and we shall be sharers in their good and ill fortune alike.

The future beckons to us. Whither do we go and what shall be our endeavour? To bring freedom and opportunity to the common man, to the peasants and workers of India; to fight and end poverty and ignorance and disease; to build up a prosperous, democratic and progressive nation, and to create social, economic and political institutions which will ensure justice and fullness of life to every man and woman.

We have hard work ahead. There is no resting for any one of us till we redeem our pledge in full, till we make all the people of India what destiny intended them to be.

We are citizens of a great country, on the verge of bold advance, and we have to live up to that high standard. All of us, to whatever religion we may belong, are equally the children of India with equal rights, privileges and obligations. We cannot encourage communalism or narrow-mindedness, for no nation can be great whose people are narrow in thought or in action.

To the nations and peoples of the world we send greetings and pledge ourselves to cooperate with them in furthering peace, freedom and democracy.

And to India, our much-loved motherland, the ancient, the eternal and the ever-new, we pay our reverent homage and we bind ourselves afresh to her service. Jai Hind [Victory to India].

An inspiring speech indeed,

also i would like to quote bhagat singh

It is necessary for every person who stands for progress to criticise every tenet of old beliefs. Item by item he has to challenge the efficacy of old faith. He has to analyse and understand all the details. If after rigorous reasoning, one is led to believe in any theory of philosophy, his faith is appreciated. His reasoning may be mistaken and even fallacious. But there is chance that he will be corrected because Reason is the guiding principle of his life. But belief, I should say blind belief is disastrous. It deprives a man of his understanding power and makes him reactionary.

Let us declare that the state of war does exist and shall exist so long as the Indian toiling masses and the natural resources are being exploited by a handful of parasites. They may be purely British Capitalist or mixed British and Indian or even purely Indian. They may be carrying on their insidious exploitation through mixed or even on purely Indianbureaucratic apparatus. All these things make no difference. ".....The war neither began with us nor is it going to end with our lives."

Bhagat singh and his philosophies ........I imagine the nation he dreamed of....and of all the theories regarding free india ,his vision inspired me the most......

Reflections

Almost 4 months ago, when i first established to start blogging......i was never sure what this blog will contain in particular..."Reflections" i struggled hard contemplating options which would give my blog a definite impression.....i was refraining myself from opting for the name reflections because of its frequency......So in a quest for a august word also probably a less known one i started leafing through the thesaurus ......

Alas! all my efforts proved futile .....and at last i decided to start my blog as "reflections"....But as it goes nothing is without a purpose and predefined meaning i realize why i didn't find anything so worthy as REFLECTIONS.....to be honest i was disappointed with my blog name because i didn't find it different, but now i am happy with what i choose..

Reflections is defining in me the honest one,we are never honest with the world...for we know we may have to face criticisms and so as a result many resort to writing diary and all.....for it stands as a companion who would just take all the alphabets on it's pages without resistance......where in world we would find such a companion.....like my diary this blog also proves the same for me.......where i could type whatever pleases me without any fear of criticism ......

I know now what reflections hold for me,A tryst with my real self.....would like to thank my sister(reema)......for unknowingly suggesting me a life long companion.....
Owe the blog name to my sister
love and regards
DEAR SIS :)

Controversy

People accuse that i sermonize a lot,But in practice i always struggle hard to keep my self in congruity with my sermons......May be at times i fail, but i guess that does not mean,if i fail at times to do something good......One should be deprived of uttering something good.......Articulation and crusade go hand in hand ...but never so entirely ....but it's never harmful to sermonize.....

Even if i fail to attend to my sermons.,and i find someone doing what i preached ...won't it drive me and urge me to be better? definitely it would......Nothing can be more crushing than to know what one failed even after exhortation the other conquered just by knowing......

Misanthropical

Human beings are cynical beings....no i am not kidding but seriously we are,we are never satisfied with what we possess ,we never ever thank almighty for what we have....we are never satiated with all our achievements ,yet we would never spare an opportunity to indulge in self pride about our achievements ,which a moment ago were so meager that we were lamenting our lives.....

"As there is no end to human wants .......so there is no end to human suffering.."

:)

I enjoy simple things, actually everyone does, but some fail to cherish the feeling....somethings in life are priceless..I have encountered many kids who possess this weird quality of making faces, when they are standing in a Queue with their mother, probably their mum busy in chatting some one or sorting out something.....These little devils will put their mind to work...i enjoy those faces...They fill my appetite for smiles.. .i crave for such instances a lot...

I love the dexterity with which housewives cull the vegetables,so much engrossed in such a simple work.....But thats what dedication to ones family demands. ...making beautiful the simplest ...They decorate the lives with their love,devotion........

So much beauty is attached to simplicity.......:)

Ironical

I use the "word" ironical a lot,it seems now possibly i am bored with it's usage, not that i won't encounter any thing ironical in life ..but i am looking for a better version ,Yes of course everybody is bound to be dyspathetic to this word for it never relates to something pleasant.....

Anyway i was exploring for a synonym .... betwixt my encephalon was working much faster as compared to my eyes on thesaurus ...."human beings" what can define the word irony better than human beings .....we feel something we do something else,we consider someone unpleasant still we demonstrate to love ....and above all we are human beings just because we are tagged but hardly by our acts......

"incongruity with our existence"

diary demands

Yes, i am here to blog my thoughts again...but i guess blogging costs me tryst with my diary ....I can sense the resentment my diary have towards me ...And its justified.....past few days i am just blogging at the cost of my diary .....

Just like this blog which is a public one,my diary also appeal attention ....but it has a comprehension that it can't be without my pen working on its pages........I can't disregard my long time companion anymore......for some time i have to stall to blog .....To satisfy and assure my diary that its not forsaken ......

COOLING OF PERIOD DEAR BLOG ........:)

i realize it's strenuous to manage two good friends because only one can be your best one ....:(

Lost

I feel lost, caught up in a world which is nothing more than an illusion .....and my days are fading away ..These all thoughts surround me like clouds of pathos,no reason in specific....but still justified....maybe i am overemphasizing on the meaning of everything around and in particular my life...
I feel sad what i had yesterday, i don't have today and what i have today won't be mine for long.....time and priorities change in life......And the change cost you your precious one's ,i think time and priorities take a heavy toll ..they charge you your valuables.....

And being caught up in this fashion ,i surcease to write...because i know whatever i would write in such moments will be filled with pathos,pessimism,negativity.....draining me of the left over optimism which would help me to recoup and come to terms with my life again,to be lost again in the illusion ...

"lost in this unknown world,i chase the unknown"

Colors of perception

The perfection of acumen of an individual depends upon the persons level of flexibility, there are different colors to every thing.......but most of us fail to see them...What we do is we paint people and situations in black and white...without comprehending completely.....

I used to possess an uncanny ability of painting things in black and white.....as a result my vision was chained....I was never able to apprehend the entire subject ....I became unaware that things can have a different shade also.....I am extremely obliged to my "benefactor" for making an effort to get me out of the pit i was digging for my self.......which would have driven me into complete ignorance .....There are other shades also and we can see them only when we don't attach anything which we have experienced in the past to the present subject..there are several factors by the dint of which we try to connect the past to the present---- some of them being "

c, - closure, proximity, similarity, continuity

We tend to take situations and assay things accordingly .. We start taking situations and people as "for or against us" without unconditional familiarity.......While perceiving we should be free from past images.....don't bottle up yourself ..by doing so you inhibit your freedom and growth.

So you want to be a writer

If it doesn't come bursting out of you
in spite of everything,
don't do it.
unless it comes unasked out of your
heart and your mind and your mouth
and your gut,
don't do it.
if you have to sit for hours
staring at your computer screen
or hunched over your
typewriter
searching for words,
don't do it.----
CHARLES BUKOWSKI

The craft of writing demands random flow of thoughts, you write the best when you really don't need to strain your mind for every single sentence...It's difficult to move your pen or hit on the alphabets of keyboard when your mind is juggling with several contrasting thoughts...Writing something demands free flow of thoughts...I have an appetite for writing at the moment but i can't decide which thought to feed on ......baffled i layoff as for now......:)
